Unit/Department MS-Tele FloatWhat units are included in the float pool Mutliple units ranging for General MS-Tele into various specialities from Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, & ED ObsNurse: Patient Ratios 1:5-6 based on acuityRequired Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patients "Population: Adults- GeriatricsCardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology-post surgicals, General Surgery-post appy, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, General Medicine, stable long term placement patients, and more"Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience in the last 3 yearsPrefer prior neuro experiencePrefer Alaris and EPIC experience"Are RNs required to titrate drips? HeparinCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsCharge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Designated Charge on each unit; doesn't take a patient assignment unless necessary; more common for night shift charge to end up with a small pt assignmentAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes 12:1RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) YesIs there tele on this unit?
