Description

HKMC Annuity Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited, is an authorized insurer to carry on long term insurance business and facilitate retirement financial planning through the provision of annuity products in Hong Kong.

Job Descriptions:

1. To participate in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems;
2. To assist in IT projects and liaise with external vendors and internal counterparties;
3. To perform technical analysis and coding development in latest technologies;
4. To prepare documentation on functional and technical specifications;
5. To deliver high-quality solutions in compliance with group's standards;
6. To handle other ad-hoc projects, help-desk, application first-line support, and other duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time; and
7. The employment will be on a contract basis and subject to renewal.

Requirements:

1. Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT application development, preferably in the life insurance industry;
3. Solid experience in programming languages such as Java, database management systems such as SQL, and web-based application development, with proficiency in the following technologies: enterprise-level Java frameworks, web application frameworks, and microservices architecture;
4. Experience with front-end development technologies such as CSS and HTML5 is desirable;
5. Hands-on experience in life insurance administration platforms;
6. Experience in upgrading coding package and framework and knowledge of modern Source Control Management (SCM) tools, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices is an advantage;
7. Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Agile development methodologies is preferred. Experience with web servers and Java-based web frameworks is a plus; and
8. A good team player, proactive with problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

(Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior System Analyst.)
