Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Bishop Spencer Place has a fantastic opportunity for a Wound Care/Admission RN to work in our 57-bed skilled nursing center.
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Missouri.
Wound Care certification is preferred, but not required. Willing to help obtain wound certification for this position.
Schedule: 10a-7p or 11a-8p | Monday - Friday
No Weekends
The Work:
Our Wound Care/Admission RN works under the direction of the nurse management team and is responsible for assessing wounds and skin alterations, developing care plans, implementing orders and treatments, and evaluating progress the of applied interventions. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations
- Responsible for wound treatments, coordinating with Wound Clinic as needed, ensuring needed wound supplies are here etc
- Admissions responsible for supporting the input/completion of new admission orders & assessments in collaboration with the rest of the nursing team
- Notifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changes
- Implementing orders and providing treatments to heal wounds.
- Identifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staff
- Documenting wound status and treatment interventions
- Consulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident's care, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Providing other direct nursing care as necessary
- Participating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards
- Other duties as assigned
Applicable Experience:
1 year
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree
