SUMMARY: Operates a Cup Filler and ensures the correct amount of finished product is placed in a case. Responsible for the correct product, in the correct package, with the correct fill weight, in the correct quantity, in the correct run order, with the correct sell-by date, and the correct time. Works closely with Supervisors, Pasteurizers, Laboratory and Pure-Pak Operators.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:30am, with willingness to work overtime, extra days, different shifts for coverage, and holidays
Pay Rate: $23.74/h
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Places plastic cups in a feed tray, places the correct label stock on the filler and ensures the correct product is packaged.
- Checks for the correct assembly, operation and settings of the filler. Keeps the filler stocked with cups and labels.
- Checks to ensure lines and equipment are flushed and drained at startup and from product to product as necessary.
- Will operate more than one machine.
- Operates such coding, casing, stacking, conveying, and palletizing equipment as may be required.
- Responsible for all product packaged, assure the correct weight, proper seal and records information. Makes minor adjustments. Checks to ensure that product is supplied from the correct storage tank.
- Fills product from order sheet at the manufacture's maximum recommended rate for the Filler.
- Keeps record of downtime and reasons for being down. Keep an accurate count of each label packaged. Responsible for following all instructions provided by any Company authorized trainer.
- Immediately (within five minutes) notify the shift supervisor when your filler is unable to operate. This excludes product changeovers and other routine reasons for downtime.
- If required, sterilizes the filler before or during the operation. May disassemble, clean and assemble equipment. Will actuate valves to control product flow.
- Must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), safety regulations, and plant policies.
- Does other work as required such as policing work area and other tasks as directed by supervision.
- Must maintain good housekeeping and orderliness in your work area.
- Notifies the laboratory of changes of product.
- Gains complete knowledge of filler machine rebuilds.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/ or management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum high school diploma with higher education or certification required.

- The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
- Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
