Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL) welcomes applications for its next Information Technology Manager.  Under the guidance of the Director of Libraries, the ideal candidate will embody SCPL’s Mission – “Inclusion, Connection, Collaboration.” The Library's technology systems and digital presence are core to our services.  Last year we offered over 71,000 hours of public internet use, our digital circulating collections account for approximately 47% of collections use, and our website is migrating to a new hosted service with related components for a new library app, online booking systems and catalog discovery layer.   SCPL consist of 10 neighborhood library branches, a web-based digital library, outreach services with a bookmobile, and community-based programs. The eligibility list established from this recruitment may be used to fill other IT Manager vacancies during the life of this list, including IT Manager and Cybersecurity IT Manager for the City IT Department. Minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, Management Information Systems or related field; Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional experience as a Network Administrator, Database Administrator, Systems Administrator, Programmer, Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager or other IT subject area including two (2) years of supervisory experience; and a valid California driver’s license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of additional relevant experience (eight (8) years total) may be substituted.
