The Role We are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Development Electrical Engineer to lead the technical execution of our hardware development. This is a "doing" role for an expert who enjoys the full lifecycle of a product—from writing low-level firmware to soldering the first prototype. You will be the primary technical driver for new electro-mechanical components, working directly with the General Manager and our engineering team to turn concepts into functional, testable hardware.
Core Responsibilities
1. Embedded Systems & Firmware Development
STM32 Mastery: Lead the programming and implementation of the STM32 family of microcontrollers. You will be responsible for peripheral configuration, interrupt handling, and optimizing real-time performance for our devices.
Control Logic: Develop and debug robust firmware in C/C++ to interface with sensors, actuators, and power management systems.
2. PCB Design & Hardware Prototyping
End-to-End PCB Design: Own the schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout process (Altium, Eagle, or KiCad). You are responsible for signal integrity, power distribution, and component selection.
Hands-on Fabrication: Perform "bench-top" assembly, including precision soldering of SMT components and hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Specification Testing: Design and execute rigorous validation protocols. You will define the "pass/fail" criteria for new designs and document performance against technical specifications.
3. Mechanical Integration & Physics
Electro-Mechanical Design: Use CAD (Autodesk) to design the physical housing and mechanical interfaces for your electronic assemblies.
Applied Physics: Apply a deep understanding of resistance, impedance, and capacitance to solve complex noise, thermal, or power efficiency issues in the R&D phase.
Manufacturing Bridge: Develop the tooling strategies and CNC/CAM paths required to create high-fidelity prototypes in-house.
Requirements
Experience: 7+ years of verifiable experience product development. We are looking for a "track record" of shipped hardware.
Microcontrollers: Proven expertise with STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) architecture is mandatory.
PCB Expertise: Demonstrated success in high-complexity PCB design and hardware-level troubleshooting.
Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Independence: Ability to take a project from a vague requirement to a working prototype with minimal technical supervision.
