Preferred Qualifications:

Oracle Application Designer, SQL , Oracle Database, Object Oriented Programming, and XML highly desired. Experience with linux server design and patching, firewall rules, and resource usage and monitoring desired.
Position Summary
Develop, code, test, implement, and document changes to modern PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 using related Oracle system development tools and database structures. Modify and enhance application systems and programs based on client requests and/or senior analyst/supervisor's general instructions. Support production application system operation as needed. Monitor the application in collaboration with the IT senior manager to ensure proper operation. Aid in planning, coordinating, and testing upgrades, maintenance, and new functionality under guidance from the IT senior manager. This individual, in support of UGA Administrative Information Systems, will support the integration, implementation and operation of system applications.

Design and Development Responsibilities
------------------------------------
This position has responsibility for executing programming solutions to meet the needs of UGA and USG clients, in such a way that the solutions meet the requirements, are on time, and meet development and documentation standards.
1) Join senior analysts in interviews with clients to determine their needs.
2) Develop and maintain application programs based on direction from supervisor, analysts, and/or clients, using documented requirements and specifications.
3) Perform unit testing on developed programs, documenting the results and correcting any issues discovered.
4) Review assigned program specifications, ask questions about perceived gaps, and suggest solutions to problems.
Percentage of time 55 Duties/Responsibilities
Production Support Responsibilities
------------------------------------
This position has responsibility for ongoing support of the systems maintained by AIS . This includes adhering to all internal and external processes and procedures to ensure that the work is done in accordance with institutional priorities and requirements.
1) Provide day-to-day support to end users under direction of direct supervisor and AIS senior leadership.
2) Assist with regularly scheduled maintenance tasks on assigned systems and programs to provide ongoing support with minimal interrupted functionality.
3) Maintain appropriate documentation on assigned systems and programs.
4) Participate in the AIS response when there are issues with assigned systems, including outside of business hours if requested.
Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities
Project and Workload Management Responsibilities
------------------------------------
This position has responsibility for managing its personal workload and keeping departmental project and workload management systems up to date, using the designated ticket and task tracking tools.
1) Follow the documented AIS change management processes and keep related documentation up to date in the system, for auditability and future reference.
2) Manage own time effectively when prioritizing and planning daily work, in coordination with their supervisor and AIS management.
3) Provide timely updates to assigned tasks in tracking systems as work is performed.
4) In coordination with supervisor, select and participate in training and professional development activities to expand skill set and prepare for future career opportunities.
Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities
Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
------------------------------------
This position under guidance of senior analysts will collaborate with resources from across UGA in support of application system development and operation as assigned. This position will be responsible for following policies, procedures, and best practices as appropriate.
a) Help cultivate effective working relationships between IT and client community to maintain ongoing awareness of information needs and uses.
b) Follow system policies, and educate and support others in following system policies.
c) Assist other AIS staff in meeting departmental and institutional goals, via timely feedback and ad hoc technical and "soft skills" training and mentorship.
d) Follow appropriate UGA and departmental policies and procedures to ensure auditability of compliance.
