Senior Business Analyst, IT Application Support with Trinity Industries, Inc. (Dallas, TX):
Duties: Identify critical pain points across business areas and design forward-thinking solutions that reduce long-term support needs. Facilitate resolution of cross-team business issues. Participate in business meetings to provide expert advice and direction. Spot and seize opportunities to enhance and improve business processes through smart application of technology. Drive the preparation and maintenance of detailed project plans, work estimates, and schedules using project management standards and best practices per PMO planning guidelines. Lead and execute projects with accountability for delivery, using project management standards and best practices per PMO execution guidelines. Prepare executive level presentations to communicate status of projects and/or business partner’s strategic initiatives. Work with business stakeholders understanding business processes, eliciting, defining, and analyzing business requirements while facilitating their prioritization. Apply specialized knowledge to design and create documentation and training materials for effective business solutions empowering users and supporting solutions adoption. Partner with business stakeholders to drive deployment success—including training, change management, and communications. Design and execute robust test plans to validate system functionality and business alignment. Collaborate with functional and technical teams across all ERP modules and other applications to define and design proposed solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to application design guidelines, strategies, and best practices. Create project deliverables according to the software development lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation. Configure, prepare, and test applications to meet functional design. Support business operations and production systems by resolving issues and responding to service requests with urgency and insight. Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to resolve cross-functional challenges. Contribute Trinity IT and business expertise to the implementation of a digital twin of the Supply Chain, enabling predictive analytics and AI-driven decision-making. Contribute to organizational change management strategies and execution. Design solutions to support specific needs from manufacturing, maintenance and distribution plants in United States and Mexico. Travel required internationally 15% of the time.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Requires 5 years of related, progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Advanced Planning System (Kinaxis Maestro, SAP, O9 Solutions, or Logility) including integrations to ERP systems; Supply Chain and Operations processes (Product Life Cycle, Sales and Operations Planning, Master Scheduling, Sourcing & Procurement, Production Planning and Execution, Inventory Management, Quality Management and Control), and integration to financial processes (Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable); Trade compliance requirements (USMCA and IMMEX programs); Supply Chain and Operations cycle implementation in Infor LX - ERP system, LX Modules, Infor Intelligent Open Network (ION) – Workflow and Integration solution, and Infor Development Framework (IDF) – Application / Report solutions; DB2 for IBM i, IBM i SQL / Query and Infor LX ERP DB; Artificial Intelligence Supply Chain initiatives; Document management systems (IntelliChief, OpenText); Data Integration tools (Databricks, Boomi, and Informatica); and Systems Development Life Cycle process (SDLC) and Waterfall or Agile/Scrum methodologies including application design, configuration, testing and implementation; and Sarbanes-Oxley and general audit requirements.
