Job Summary
Represents the University in new student recruitment and participates in the evaluation of applicants. Participates in recruitment activities and projects, both in and out of state.
Essential Functions
Serve as the liaison between the David C. Frederick Honors College and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA).
Plan, identify, and represent the David C. Frederick Honors College and OAFA at recruitment events.
Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of OAFA recruitment options, processes, and materials.
Maintain knowledge of the David C. Frederick Honors College undergraduate options, processes, and policies.
Assist with developing and implementing strategies to recruit a diverse pool of first-year applicants.
Host open houses and participate in recruitment sessions (in-person and virtual).
Communicate with prospective students and families via phone, email, face-to-face, and online chat.
Build strong relationships with faculty and academic advisors in the David C. Frederick Honors College, school counselors, community-based organizations, and community colleges.
Correspond and interact with prospective students, applicants, advisors, and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic programs, and student activities.
Implement quality improvement practices related to internal and external transfer policies.
Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and manage data effectively.
Preferred experience with PeopleSoft and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, particularly Salesforce and Slate.
Physical Effort
Mobility with regard to possible travel within the United States. Valid driver's license is required. May be required to carry a box of material (up to 50 lbs.) from car and/or from building to building or between floors.
