Starting Pay Rate: $22.84 per hour (starting rate at 70% of the full rate)
Wage Progression:
70% at hire: $22.84/hour
85% after 6 months: $27.74/hour
100% after 1 year: $32.63/hour
This position follows a union wage progression scale. Employees advance to the full rate after one year of continuous service.

SUMMARY:
Supports production and shipping by combining dairy and fluid products to be placed on the assembly line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Follow all associated procedures (including FIFO procedures).
- Create bulk labels.
- Inspect packaged products for proper labeling, sealing, and quality before palletizing
- Verify code dates, labels, and leaks before packing the products.
- Work closely with the supervisor and foreman on short code dates.
- Operate automated or manual palletizing equipment to stack milk containers (gallons, half-gallons, cartons, etc.)
- Run and maintain Palletizers and Strappers.
- Transport products and pallets to various locations as needed.
- Lift and move pallets of product with pallet jack/forklift into trailers, pick line, and storage area.
- Verify code dates, labels (flavor & jug size), and leaks, of the first 15 cases at the start of every new SKU (Flavor) before packing the products.
- Pulls work orders in sequence and places products on the conveyor chain.
- Check each item after products are placed on the line.
- Tips-up one unit in the top case of each stack of the last route selected.
- Places tag in products at the end of the night for rotation.
- Picks up trash from the work area and hose down the chains, chain covers, and the floor daily.
- Responsible for general housekeeping to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with palletizers and strappers preferred.
- Background in dairy processing, food manufacturing, or a similar environment is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to food manufacturing practices.

- The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
