The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, a student-centered, regional campus in Bradford, PA, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of associate director of admissions. This is an on-site leadership role.
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Pitt-Bradford) is a regional campus of the University of Pittsburgh, located in Bradford, Pennsylvania, near the scenic Allegheny National Forest. Established in 1963, the university offers a small-campus experience with the resources of a large research institution. With 1,008 undergraduate students enrolled (2024-25), Pitt-Bradford provides over 40 majors and 50 minors and pre-professional programs, emphasizing personalized education and hands-on learning.
Reporting to the associate vice president of enrollment management and director of admissions, the associate director of admissions serves as the lead strategist and coordinator for recruitment initiatives targeting transfer and nontraditional students, as well as veterans and students seeking to use veteran education benefits. With direct responsibility for admissions recruitment of prospective transfer students, the associate director participates in limited travel, including undergraduate high school visits, college fairs, transfer fairs, Saturday information sessions, and open houses. The associate director manages the admissions transfer application review and decision-making process, including reviewing committee evaluations of folders, following up on requested information, and maintaining contact between applicants and the office. Additionally, this position assists with planning and coordinating all aspects of the admissions office's recruiting events for transfer students, both on and off campus. The associate director creates, organizes, and launches drip campaigns and ad-hoc messages in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and oversees event management utilizing the VisitDays platform to build, schedule, and execute a variety of events, including daily campus tours, open houses, admitted student days, and virtual college fairs.
The salary range for the associate director is $68,000 - $75,000.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and bring a minimum of five years of experience in college admissions, with particular expertise in transfer student recruitment and processes. This role requires strong technical proficiency—with a preference for experience using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, including the ability to edit and format images and text, as well as familiarity with PeopleSoft. The candidate must also demonstrate analytical skills for interpreting data, as well as a solid understanding of admissions operations and the financial aid process. The associate director will possess exceptional oral and written communication skills; the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams; and strong organizational, managerial, and time-management abilities. This individual must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, be highly adaptable, and bring excellent interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license is mandatory.
